BOATS

Where there are rivers, lakes, swamps, and bayous in southern Louisiana, there are also boats. With such easy access, Gramps found subject matter for hunderds of pictures (and thousands of sketches). Through the years he held and participated in numerous Saturday workshops on waterways within a 90 minute drive from home; until Hurricane Katrina in 2005, a ten minute drive brought him to Bucktown, an historical fishing village on Lake Pontchatrain. Boats were subject matter whenever he traveled afar as well.
